I am ready to walk out my front door and onto the beach!
Last night I talked with the owners of the Studio Condo we will be staying at and got a little more information.
$500 for the month + $35 one time cleaning + $35 in tax
= $570
We have the option to do our own laundry or have Bonnie (the property manager) do our laundry for $20. Bonnie can also be contacted if we have any problems or questions.
We plan on getting a car but public transportation is everywhere, including a bus right out of the complex to take us downtown or more towards the hotel zone.
We plan on shopping at Walmart and maybe a few markets and eating in as much as possible, but there are all sorts of good restaurants in the area as well.
The condo has a 5 gallon water dispenser :)
Although the property is safe (for my mothers sake) it's a gated community and they are security guards on duty.
We are sold. I e-mailed the owners asking for the rental agreement so we can sign and make our $200 down payment!
