Zion Adventure

Mid April the husband and I decided to head down to St. George and Zion for the weekend. It was my first time to both locations so I was super excited about this adventure! As you may have read in my last post, we are expecting, so this was also my first big adventure as a pregnant woman. I was just entering the second trimester and am learning new things about being pregnant daily. The big one I learned on this trip is you start to loose your breath long before the weight is put on. The first set of stairs I climbed had me gasping for air! That being said, we stuck with some short and basic hikes while in Zion. Luckily, it was enough to keep us busy all day and we were still able to get some pretty awesome views.

The most exciting view was from Canyon Overlook Trail. It was a pretty short hike (about an hour round trip) and not very strenuous. The best part was that I finally got to take the picture I had been planning out in my head. We used this as our baby announcement with friends on Facebook.

Awesome view! Shane got a little spooked when he said I got too close to the edge.. I was a good five feet away but he wasn't into it! Haha I don't blame him. It looked like a pretty intense drop down from the view point.

Fun little bridge to cross over on Canyon Overlook Trail.

Weeping Rock

Enjoying the view

More weeping rock

Tree over the trail

Riverside walk.. we really enjoyed exploring along the river

Beautiful View

Making friends with furry caterpillars

Always an adventure with this guy

As always :)

Touched the water and it was freezing. We plan to go back again in a warmer month (this was April).

Crazy to think people climb these every day!

Zion is great because it has a Bus that takes you to the different trail heads and stops. It's a nice little Air Conditioned break from the sun!

We also made a pit stop by Snow Canyon State Park. They had some pretty awesome Sand Dunes that we were not expecting to see.
It was super soft and beach like so we kicked off our shoes and took a stroll.

Prefect end to a pretty awesome day. Until next time!
