Chasing No Regrets: Why I'm Planning an Epic Adventure at 23 (Instead of the Next Degree)

When I look back on my life 10 years from now, I don't want regrets about wasting my golden years. Every song I hear is about being young, wild, and free, yet my rotating shifts usually put me in bed by 9 p.m. (sometimes earlier). I do not have a bad life. In fact, I LOVE MY LIFE. I just want to cross a few things off the bucket list before I settle down for good.

I am tired of scrolling through friends' lives and feeling envy over where they go or what they do. I decided it was time to figure out my next step. This past December I earned my associate's degree and got a solid promotion at work. For most people the logical move would be student loans, more school, and pushing toward the next promotion. At 23 I am doing well, and that path makes sense. But I am not ready to jump into it yet.

My plan is to put all my energy into planning one epic trip that pulls me far out of my comfort zone. I want to experience everything life has to offer. Let the planning begin...
