Life is Beachy

Monday 11/5

We woke up early to watch the sunrise and plan out our day. We drank AMERICAN coffee for the first time and oh boy is it different than mexican coffee! We had to search to find Folgers! 

 We decided to go on a drive and headed south to Playa Del Carmen. We laid on the beach for a bit and then headed to 5th Ave to look at all of the shops. The streets are lined with vendors and all sorts of touristy shops. 

Decided we were hungry and Playa Del Carmen was a little over priced so we went north a bit to Puerto Morelos. We stumbled on this cute little restaurant called La Panza Es Primero. It's right on the beach and we had an absolutely delicious meal!

$24 Meal. 2 pc Chicken, 2 pc Steak, Chorizo, Beans & Onions that all came out in a boiling bowl. 

Way to much food for one sitting but it was a great price for great food. (drinks included)

The restaurant also had cool old wrestling banners displayed all around. I had to snap a picture!

We went to the beach in Puerto Morelos after lunch, but decided to head back to Cancun for sunset. 

Saw our first sunrise and sunset on the same day which was pretty perfect.

Headed out to La Isla shopping mall for the evening. They have canals going throughout the shopping center and many fancy (and expensive) shops. There is an aquarium, movie theatre, and tons of good eats throughout it as well. We went to a Taco Grill and had the best chicken and shrimp tacos! All in all a fun day.

Hands down, (*from what we have seen) compared to Puerto Morelos and Playa Del Carmen, Cancun has the most beautiful beaches. Spent the whole day laying on the beach and swimming around collecting shells (pictures of our collection will be up soon)

Ended the day with something cold and refreshing
